The opportunity

Are you aged 18-24? Do you live in Clackmannanshire and are not in full time education or have a job? 

Tablet Academy Scotland is delighted be hiring three roles to join our Digital Support Team at our Alloa HQ.

This opportunity is in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council and the Young Person’s Guarantee Scheme from the Scottish Government.

The role will be diverse, exciting and rewarding. You will work with the extensive Tablet Academy team to help deliver our commitments to our education partners, and the wider community.

You will be focused on supporting the cluster schools, its parents, and pupils with any digital issues, questions or support they may have relating to digital technology and apps. This will see them develop and deliver projects and support on digital tools for learning and see them discover exciting new technologies such as robotics, 3D printing and virtual reality.

The role

Job title: Digital Support – Education: x3 roles

Hours: Full time. 35 hours per week – with a great deal of flexibility given the current COVID restrictions, and we understand that people have different home responsibilities at the moment.

Salary: £17,290.00

Restrictions: To apply, you must be aged 18-24, live in Clackmannanshire and not be currently participating in employment or education such as college or university.

Location: When we’re able, our office is – Co.Lab 1 King Street, Alloa. FK10 2NL, although home working will be encouraged.

Term: 12 months contract, with the possibility of extension depending on future funding

Closing date: 28th February 2021 – midnight

You’ll be given a project to work on to give you additional experience and put your knowledge to a practical use.

You’ll get a laptop, a t-shirt, and any kit you need.

Office & home working

When we’re in the office (restrictions permitting) you’ll have access to Co. Lab’s larder of unlimited freshly stocked hot and cold drinks, cereals, biscuits, crisps, and the occasional cake.

Home working will be encouraged, although some travel and days in the office will be required.
